HIGHLIFE

JLI

Journalistic Learning Initiative set out to create documentary-style video features near-peer narrators sharing their successful mental health journeys. Developed in partnership with mental health professionals, our videos address a critical need for credible, vetted mental health content. Most importantly, these stories act as gateways to, not replacements for, clinical support. The videos provided below are proofs of concept.

HIDDEN MONOLITH

I explore the hidden monolith of La Peña de Bernal in the town of Bernal, Querétaro in México and immerse myself within the community. This documentary explores the town, its connection to the monolith, the land history, and its effects on the local climbing community.  This is my first solo film, all animations, research, and video are done by myself.

SPOON

Spoon began as a vlog of a couple friends going on a backpacking trip. Overtime, it became a playground for me to tell a visual and creative narrative different from anything I’ve done thus far.
